Here's something I've just finished.

A classic fantasy subject that was a lot of fun to paint :) Female warrior kneels on her dragon as she rides through the storm clouds. I've tried to reflect various dragon designs in her copper coloured armour. I have forced the perspective on her arm and the dragon's head to add to the drama and sense of flying towards the viewer.

Sketched in pencil and then coloured in Photoshop. The airbrush tool is great for clouds ;)

Very nice, the dragon's face has a lot of emotion in it.

Thanks. Glad you like the dragon's face. I had problems with the foreshortening on the nose but I think it turned out ok in the end.

Yeah, i think perhaps that shortening the nostrils and bringing them forward would make it look a little longer, but to be honest i quite like the slightly non-traditional look, and the very human emotion that's in it.

I'd say you've succeeded. Good detail and fitting color-work. The pose is a classic, but works quite well.
