Wishing you all blessings of the season, whatever your faith, and whatever you celebrate. This artwork is called Solstice Gathering. Here a small dragon is helpfully collecting holly and mistletoe for his mistress, to use as decorations for the forthcoming festivities. I made this illustration as a Yule card for publishers Eastgate Resource. I hope you like it. As always I find small dragons a lovely subject to paint and the sentiment is based on my dog Obi and the many, many sticks he has proudly fetched me in the fourteen years I have had him. My thanks to model ^Elandria for the photo I used as reference when painting the figure.
Peaceful and so sweet, I love the serene feeling. Absolutely wonderful work, the small dragon helping his mistress is such an adorable site to see. Nice to see dragons in a different light.

Aww! The idea is so cute, and that dragon reminds me of my own dog, but she usually jumps away the moment I want to take the stick and begins to run around me in circles in a come-and-get-me! way. I like the colours you've used, they give it a cold feel, but still warm and cute with the dragon and the bright colours of the holly and mistletoe. It really looks like a painting on a canvas, I love the way you draw. I could stare at this for hours. Those tetails, and that dress ...
