I painted this image as the last in a series of girls and dragons for a calendar of my art that it is be published by Heye for 2011 (yes no typo in the date there - they plan a long way in advance!)

This small dragon gives comfort to a friend who is feeling a little sad.

This is a deeply touching painting that depicts so much kindness, compassion, devotion, empathy, love. They are so beautiful together, the truest of friends.
