Various people have asked me about the process involved in my digital paintings. Sometime I start right off on the computer painting in Photoshop, but often I do a sketch in pencil on paper and then scan this in. These can be quite rough sketches just to establish the general form and layout, or like this one more detailed.
This picture was printed as one of the insides sketches on a range of dragon themed greetings cards which you can see here [link] It is kind of fun subject - what do you think will happen next? Maybe the dragon and knight will join forces? Maybe they are just discussing the weather? or maybe it'll all go horribly wrong  .... you decide! |
