The subject here is a 3 headed cyber dragon. This is a huge mechanical creature that has arisen out of it's lair to guard an entrance of the inner sanctutum of a dark space cathedral.

I love the dark sci-fi imagery of H R Giger's art so a huge nod to him on this one. I have tried to combine Sci-fi surroundings, the fantasy subject of a dragon, and gothic style imagery in the architecture. This art was commissioned for a t-shirt and as such fades to what will be the black of the shirt.

Drawn in pencil and then coloured in Photoshop. There are some work in progress shots of this art in my scraps section.

I don't think my art is like Giger's but he did blaze the trail when it comes to dark sci-fi imagery and is extremely cool.

Very nice display of colouring skill, and I really like that dragon. The lightbeam coming out from the passage below is artfully done - really amazing work :bow:

Thanks :) It can be hard with such a dark design to get the levels of lighting right. You want things to stand out but not to much so that the dark mood is spoilt. I am glad you like the lightbeam.
