Elven Scout

This is one of a set of 4 female character portraits that I was commissioned to paint for internal illustrations in the new Forgotten Realms Players Handbook for 4th edition Dungeons and Dragon (out this month)

This one is of an elven scout firing a bow as she jumps through a magic portal. The picture is designed so that the text fits around it on the white of the page.

I enjoyed designing the leafy costume and I tried to give an sense of action and elegance to the character.
