Here is another painting that I did for the 4th edition of Dungeons and Dragons. This one was an illustration for the Monster Manual. The creature is called a Drider, which is kind of a cross between a dark elf and a giant spider.
This was a really cool subject to paint although I wouldn't like to meet one of these creatures!
Good job as always. I'd like to see some harder crushes used at the focal point. The piece as a whole looks a bit soft. Maybe run it the photoshops filter>sharpen>unsharpen mask. That may givce it some crispness
Ahh, the Drider. Lolth's wrath to anyone who dares kill a spider. Said to be a very painful transformation, which is why Driders hate everything and the reason why they are so cruel. Great job!
