This painting was done in acrylics for a fantsy novel cover. The space left at the top and bottom is for the authors name and book title.
The brief was that the dragon should look old and menacing, guarding the cross symbol.

Curse of Arastold by *Ironshod is one absolutely beyond brilliant, imaginative, wicked dragon. When I saw this painting I could not help but be awed, and scared, like on a start of the great dangerous adventure or just before the big battle, with a great foe ahead of me.
